2023 passed for my musical "career" without a single release, so I'd like to present you the first single of 2024 "Homage to Oakenfold".
Paul Oakenfold's music and sets have influenced my musical taste very much since the early 2000s. This track is a kind of homage to the trance legend. In one of the interviews Oakenfold shared his approach to DJ set formation, according to which after every two passable tracks one of the gems of his collection should be included.
This ommage develops exactly according to this principle. The first two thirds of the composition sound detached and monotonous, life-affirming melody and harmony appear only towards the end of the track.
Cold and slightly torn remix in Future Garage genre was recorded by KRKV.
I encourage anyone for whom my music has any meaning to share it with others in any way they can.
