(Live at KAN REKA / Radio REKA) Recorded live during the "Good Morning, Israel" program on KAN REKA (Russian), hosted by Tanya Barskaya. ▶ Full program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AThr34wUHos&t=1366s About the song "Vu Iz Dos Gesele?" – "Where Is That Little Street?" – is one of the most beloved songs in the Yiddish repertoire. Although often referred to as a traditional folk song, its history is more complex. The earliest known publication dates back to 1912, while the version familiar today was popularized in 1926 by composer Sholom Secunda for a Yiddish musical. Over the years, the song has become a symbol of nostalgia, memory, and longing for the lost world of the Eastern European shtetl. Hebrew adaptation Translation by Yan Jonathan Sandler If you enjoyed the performance, please like, comment, share, and subscribe to the channel.
