LOI – Letters of Indemnity – Used in Shipping and Trade Finance

Letters of Indemnity (LOIs) are widely used in Commodity Trading to lubricate the daily working of the business. In this episode focusing on the Fundamentals of Commodity Trading, we will briefly look at two distinct types of LOIs, being those used in Trade Finance to facilitate Letter of Credit negotiation and those used in Shipping.
