Roanoke Island Half Dollar 1937 |

EN: A short review of the Roanoke Island Half Dollar — a commemorative coin issued for the 350th anniversary of the founding of the English colony on Roanoke Island. The coin recalls England’s first attempts to establish a permanent settlement in North America, the mystery of the “Lost Colony,” and Virginia Dare — the first child of English settlers born in the territory of the future United States.
