Arctic. At the Edge of the Earth

The Arctic. It is the very edge of our planet. These are endless expanses and harsh conditions. This is the place where Novosibirsk State University Geology and Geophysics Department students and faculty members are looking for answers to questions about what the Earth looked like billions of years ago. On the research station "Samoilovsky Island" those who just yesterday were sitting in the classroom are becoming real polar geologists. We were lucky to visit together with them the Lena River delta and see with our own eyes the work of the expedition in arctic conditions, when the north wind simply blows you off your feet.
