The famous @latvian tango "Oh, these black eyes!" (@Чёрные глаза) was written by the @King of Tango @Oskar Strock (1893 - 1975). He was born and lived in @Latvia. The famous @latvian componist Strock (@Оскар Строк) told his personal @love story to the black - eyed @beaty Leni Libman in this song. Talented @componist wrote his first tune at the age of 10. and he is @author more than 350 @popular works. Although active participations in @concerts for @Soviet army during the @Second World War Strock met also with @repressions in @USSR. In 1948 he was removed from the professional @Composer's Union for the "irrelevant activity". Most of his songs weren't recommended for @perfomance. In reality, Strock's works were still performed, but without the author's name and, accordingly, without @royalties. Strock accompanied in cafes and restaurants for living costs. He wrote also many @instrumental works without mentioning a @name. Only in 1972, for the first time in all post-war years, the @music enterprise @Melodia (@Мелодия) released a plate with music by Oskar Strock. On the @monument of this composer on @jewish cemetery in @Riga is engraved the musical @notation of the @tango "Ah, these black eyes!" @livemusic
