In this short video, I'll show you how the Quansheng UV-K5 (8) radio operates in real-world conditions on 27.135 AM, the truckers' channel number 15. Important: this radio is not a full-fledged CB radio; it only allows you to listen to this frequency using an external car antenna after updating the firmware. Transmitting on this frequency is possible, but since the radio doesn't have full AM amplitude modulation, to be heard, you need to transmit with a frequency shift of 2.5 kHz, i.e., on 27.137.5 FM. The transmit power on this frequency is only 0.1 W, meaning you'll be heard from a maximum distance of 100-500 meters, depending on the terrain. Enjoy watching!
