Railfanning Penn Station, New York, Feb 2010

I took a vacation trip to New York in Feb of 2010. I decided to make a stop at Penn Station while I was there. Very busy station indeed!! Seems like something is either arriving or leaving every 5 minutes. Saw a bunch of Amtrak and NJ Transit trains. Was nice to see some Amfleet equipment on the Amtrak trains! Was also nice to see the Amfleet cabcars again. Reminded me of the good old days when they were running on the San Diegans. I saw #9638 & #9632, two former cabcars assigned to the Surfline. I also caught Amtrak #19, the Crescent, departing New York. I learned that #19, as well as many others, are electric until Wash DC or Hartford. I was surprised not to see the P42's.
