"We are peaceful people, but we have our armoured train in a reserve!" This citation was well known in the Soviet Union Music: I. Dunaevskiy Lyrics: M. Svetlov #russianmusic #filmsongs #sovietmusic #russiansongs #music Translation: Kahovka Kakhovka, Kakhovka, native rifle, Hot bullet, fly! Irkutsk and Warsaw, Orel and Kakhovka - Stages of a long journey. The attack thundered and the bullets rang, And the machine gun fired steadily... And our girl walks by in a greatcoat, The burning Kakhovka is coming. Chorus: Under the hot sun, under the blind night We had to go through a lot. We are peaceful people, but our armored train It's on the siding! Do you remember, comrade, how we fought together, How did the thunderstorm embrace us? Then they smiled at us both through the smoke Her blue eyes. So let us remember our fighting youth, So let's drink to our deeds, For our country, for our native Kakhovka, Where our girl lived. Chorus: Under the hot sun, under the blind night We had to go through a lot. We are peaceful people, but our armored train It's on the siding!
