Lyubov Petrova & Vladimir Jurowski /

Lyubov Petrova and Vladimir Jurowski perform Rachmaninoff's "We shall rest" while self isolated in different countries. The song is based on the profound and tragic yet comforting words from Chekhov’s “Uncle Vanya”: “We shall rest, We shall hear the Angels. We shall see the Heaven Shining like a Jewel. We shall see all earthly evil And all our pain sink away In the great Compassion That shall enfold the World. And our life will become as peaceful, And tender and sweet As a Caress. I have Faith; I have Faith. We shall rest!” ❤️
