In this video, we explore the protein folding — how proteins acquire their functional shapes, and how membrane proteins differ from cytoplasmic proteins in the folding process. We also look at the key interactions between amino acids, the crucial role of hydrophobic forces in shaping tertiary structure, and the main levels of protein organization, including alpha helices, beta strands, beta turns, and omega loops. Finally, we introduce colorful proteins, fluorescent proteins, and chaperones.
