It is known for its cheesy '90s approach to virtual reality and its unforgiving difficulty, with no save or password systems and deaths that make you lose all of your items and powerups. The story has titular Kid Chameleon going on a virtual reality quest to rescue a bunch of kids that were kidnapped by a rogue artificial intelligence that controls the virtual reality consoles they play on.
